Open Days at Mary Hare School

For professionals working in deaf education

We run Open Days for Professionals four times a year during the Autumn and Spring Terms, as part of our Short Course programme. These are suitable for anyone working to support young children with sensory impairment whether in the mainstream, a specialist unit or as part of a sensory support team.

Come and find out more about our specialist methods - the aim of the day is for you to go back with ideas and examples of good practice that you can use in your own teaching or support environment.

The programme runs from 9.30 to 3.30 and includes refreshments and lunch. A typical programme will include:

  • Welcome and Introduction to Mary Hare Schools
  • Tour of the school and observation of classroom teaching
  • Presentation on Professional Development Opportunities through Mary Hare Training Services
  • Opportunities to talk to teaching staff and care staff
  • Workshops/seminars on specific areas of the curriculum

COST: £30 including lunch and refreshments
