Welcome to the Mary Hare Alumni Association
"The Alumni Association is for all former students of Mary Hare School. Membership is free and an excellent way to keep in touch with friends and classmates. You can also find out about the latest developments at Mary Hare School and the work of the Mary Hare Foundation. There is no fee for joining the Mary Hare Alumni Association. We have a growing database of over 1,000 members dating back over 60 years.
You'll find information on news, events, reunions and publications as well as a forum for the news that you want to tell us about. Sharing your experiences can be enormously helpful to Mary Hare students - past, present and future.
Whether you are interested in just reading the on-line version of 'Soundwave' magazine or simply want to get in touch with lost school friends, the Mary Hare Alumni Association is here for you all."
Simone Goldberg, Chairman Mary Hare Alumni Association
Membership of the Alumni Assocation is restricted to former pupils of Mary Hare Grammar School, Mary Hare Secondary and Mary Hare Sixth Form. Former pupils are automatically co-opted into the membership. If you do not want to be a member then you can opt out by e-mailing us or by writing to Mary Hare School, Arlington Manor, Snelsmore Common, Newbury, Berkshire RG14 3BQ.
We aim to write to all former Mary Hare pupils once a year (usually in the Spring). If you haven’t heard from us for a while, it may be that we don’t have your up to date contact details. Please use the ‘Contact’ button on the left to let us know if you have moved or if you have changed your mobile number, email address or your name.
MHAA Annual Mailout 2010
Our annual mailout to all members is being posted to everyone in early April. If you don’t receive it, we may not have your correct postal address. Please get in touch if you haven’t received anything by the end of the month, so we can check that our records are up to date. A blank database update form is available as a download.
Closure of Life Membership Scheme
Thank you to the Life Members who responded to our recent email about Life Membership funds. Overall, the majority vote was to donate the remaining funds in the account (just over £760) to Mary Hare's Murray House Appeal, which has now been done.
