Posters Wanted!
We are inviting submission of poster presentations to be featured at our Mary Hare Summer Conference on July 12th 2010.
Every professional working with deaf children has a wealth of knowledge and experience related to what makes a difference to the deaf children they support. There is a need to share this expertise and to open debate about the best ways to enable deaf children to reach their full potential. We are asking for posters because we feel they are an excellent way to generate discussion; bring together like-minded individuals and highlight examples of good practice and expertise.
This is your opportunity to discuss your experiences and share best practice from your own service, authority, organization, school or college. It will give you a chance to identify those factors that you believe are making a difference for the deaf children in your care and show how you are evaluating this effective provision.
All you need to do:
- Email us a 250 word summary (including title, author names, affiliation and list of the key points you will be presenting in your poster).
- Design an A1 size poster to be brought with you and displayed on the day
- Be prepared to talk about your poster to interested delegates
Posters will be displayed throughout the conference and time will be allocated during the day for delegates to view the posters and discuss key issues with their presenters. Summaries of the posters will be included in all delegate packs and will be available via our Training Services website (subject to their author’s permission).
The deadline for your poster presentation summary is Friday 28th May 2010.
(For more details please contact training@maryhare.org.uk
The Oticon Award will be given for the best poster presentation on the day
