Pupils are presented with a cheque by local Waitrose store
On 24th June 2010 a foursome of old and new Head Boys and Head Girls accompanied Dr Papas to Newbury’s Waitrose store to collect a cheque for £560 from the Waitrose Community Matters charity scheme. This scheme donates £2,000 every two months to six local good causes. The amount given is dependent on the number of tokens collected in store for each nominated charity. As well as receiving the generous cheque students were able to enjoy a cup of coffee in the store’s café before returning to school!
